Armed with  an iPhone, a full bladder and a passion for bathroom signage I knew what I had to do. Stop! Let’s not be overly dramatic. The truth is, we’re in the alternative motivation biz and what could possibly be more "alternative motivation" than signs motivating employees to wash their hands in a restroom (and who can resist those instructional handwashing icons). Consider this a brand extension, a public service initiative or another blatant promotional gimmick. Regardless, it's fascinating to observe how no two signs seem to be alike. So as long as I continue to have the bladder of a toddler and an iPhone, I think I’ll keep posting. If you’d like to contribute to this motivating collection please send your pics here.

Now in all seriousness... “The main purpose of washing hands is to cleanse the hands of pathogens (including bacteria or viruses) and chemicals which can cause personal harm or disease. This is especially important for people who handle food or work in the medical field. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has stated that "It is well-documented that the most important measure for preventing the spread of pathogens is effective handwashing.”
